I currently use Rosetta Stone to supplement my studies, and find it EXTREMELY helpful.
On its own, I think you would only get the vocabulary building out of it (and an 'ear' knack for what the grammar SHOULD be, although you won't know exactly why), but supplementing other means of study definitely adds to the value of the program.
I use a grammar book called "Basic Korean: A Grammar and Workbook" by Andrew Byon, as well as the ¼° (Sogang) book series, and between the two, I get my grammar help that makes the Rosetta stone very cementing.
I highly recommend using it, although the native speakers I have talked to tell me that the pronunciation is very formal (not the tenses, but the pronunciation itself) and not like how you'd hear it on the street. That said, I mean if you learn English, you learn the same way... so I don't really feel that's a tremendous detractor.
I also recommend finding a language exhange partner. I used the website www.language-exchanges.org to find a wonderful teacher who lives in Incheon who has been an English teacher for about 25 years. She helps me with grammar and pronunciation over Skype and I help her with English colloquialisms and expressions and speech-writing.
Anyway, I don't think you should discard Rosetta Stone, although I highly recommend studying with it to supplement another means of study. In other words, don't make it your primary focus in your studies. Then you will reap the benefits of that means of learning.
