ÀÌÁµ ¿©¸§ ¹æÇд ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù!
(Summer vacation is here!)
I didn't make tremendous progress (just learning a few random words here and there) because I was studying for finals
So I got a copy of the textbook "College Korean" and I'm making me way through that book now; I'll also try to do some supplementary reading.
Hmmm... I tried but it was tough... But I think I'll try to translate some Korean song lyrics later because they probably contain many common words.
°í¸¿½À´Ï´Ù for any feedback! |

Yes, reading books is the best way to learn Foreign language at the beginning, especially when self-studying.
After you build up your vocabulary and ability to understand what you read, you be able to say or hear what you have learned.
Keep trying! |

³Ê´Â ´ÑÀÚ ÀԴϱî? ´ç½ÅÀº ´ÑÀÚ ÀԴϱî? (being polite) or ³Ê´Â ´ÑÀÚ³Ä? not polite but casual talk between the same age or to younger.

he immediately told me that dont use ³ª´Â were not acquainted.
hopefully our new members will learn how, when to use ³ª´Â and Àú´Â appropriately.

ÇÚ¸®¾¾, °í¸¿½À´Ï´Ù. Àú´Â ³ª»Û ´ÑÀÚ¸¦ ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. |
Àâ½À´Ï´Ù ; Àâ ´Ù can mean catch, hold, arrest, or slaughter, kill.
If you are a policeman, you arrest people, thus, you can say, »ç¶÷À» Àâ½À´Ï´Ù.
If you are ¼± ¹« ´ç, you slaughter instead of healing people, the original intention gone wrong due to the incomplete knowledge or experience;
¼±¹«´çÀÌ »ç¶÷À» Àâ½À´Ï´Ù.
If you are ³ª»Û ´ÑÀÚ, you double-ass-innate people because that is what ³ª»Û ´ÑÀÚ is all about.
Catch a riddle.
However, we don't say, 'catch', but 'search'; search for a riddle, that is what makes our English or your Korean a riddle.
In this case, we say,Âþ ¾Æ ºÁ , not 'Àâ ¾Æ ºÁ'.
You must be a bad ´ÑÀÚ, because you catch words and use them wrong, which surely can slaughter people who can be misled by your wrong choice words.
You are not alone in doing such a ´ÑÀÚ thing.
We all from time to time do slaughter other people, with words chosen wrong or wrong interpretations, called, 'misleading or misunderstanding".
¹®ÀåÀÌ sentence Áø½Ç(ÀÌ) truth ¾Æ´Õ´Ï´Ù not+is, meaning sentence is not true.
Yours or mine?
Or, you do you mean to say, 'I didn't mean that', or, 'just kidding'?
Words mean things.
Yet, meaning is one thing and subjective interpretation is another, really.
You might have said 'A', but others could get 'B' instead.
Translate this.

¾È³çÇϼ¼¿ä!
Just dropping by to show the people that were helping me (esp. y2so) that I haven't vanished from the face of learn-korean.net.
Àú´Â ±³°ú¼À» ÀнÀ´Ï´Ù. Çѱ¹¾î°¡ ¾î·Æ½À´Ï °Å´Ï¿Í Àç¹ÌÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
Perhaps it doesn't matter so much in simple sentences, but what is(are) the primary difference(s) between the subject marker (ÀÌ/°¡) and the topic marker (Àº/´Â)?

captainalan¾¾, ¾È³çÇϼ¼¿ä? ¿À·£¸¸ÀÌ¿¡¿ä! Àß ÀÖ¾ú¾î¿ä?
As for ´Â and ÀÌ/°¡, ´Â is the topic marking particle and ÀÌ/°¡ are the subject marking particles. Before learning Korean, I didn't really understand the difference between topic and subject either; I'll try to explain.
When talking about how your day, or how things have been for you you use yourself as the topic because you're talking about yourself. The subject may change "My day has been difficult" or "Work is stressful" but you're still talking about yourself. ÀÌ/°¡ are used more to donate what performs an action, while ´Â affects the direction of a conversation more by setting the topic.
I hope this helps a little.
