Oh, hell yeah! I used to have some good stuff (in Japan of all places), but now all I have is a big bottle of Luksusowa (still not bad), so I'll just say that it's not all the same. There's a big variety in Polish vodka. Whenever people start talking like that, I remember something crazy from this old Polish TV show (Świat wed©©ug Kiepskich, czy pamiętaś?) with some magical homemade stuff.

Żubrówka! I drank so much of that in Japan! You wouldn't believe how cheap that is there. It's still very good, though, especially since I like grass, really!

In the U.S., Belvedere is probably the only thing you can find in most regular stores, but I had some Chopin from a while back. You don't need apple juice with that; it's already infused.

In general, I like my vodka on the neutral side, and Chopin is still fairly neutral in spite of its extra flavors. Żubrówka tastes very distinct, so I prefer not to mix. Even if it's very neutral, if it's very high quality, I still drink it neat chilled. If I mix, I still want it neutral, but then I'll just go with something cheap, usually something Russian.

I didn't know...I got it years ago and because it was cheap.

Also, about Wyborowa in America, I've heard great things about it, but I've never actually seen it anywhere. I don't think it's got the same market as Smirnoff. Smirnoff is highly overrated, but it's also cheaper than anything you might find from Europe.

In my freezer right now are classic ¬³¬ä¬à¬Ý¬Ú¬é¬ß¬Ñ¬ñ and a triple distilled potato vodka from Luksusowa. Maybe that's better than the standard variety?

Oh, well I haven't seen an ABC store since I moved away from the east coast some five years ago. I just need to get a job that lets me travel a lot to various places. Then I can buy all the crazy stuff I want without worrying about export markets and import taxes.
