the reason US sentiment is against Iran is because we've always bothered Iran, ever since the treaty of Versailles we've bullied them.
In reality, Iran has been very good with the non-nuclear proliferation treaty (NPT). Iran at one point had developed nuclear technology under secrecy but they revealed it to the IAEA for inspection.
And because they wanted to satisfy the west, they even agreed to stricter IAEA inspections, which included a huge more amount of questions. Iran was unable to answer some of these questions, which were somewhat negligible, however under pressure from the US the situation was brought to the UN security council. Note under US pressure.
the reason US is so worried about Iran, which has no nuclear weapons nor anywhere near the ability to produce them.
(In order to produce nuclear weapons you need to refine Uranium to 90%, the maximum ability of Iranian nuclear plants are at 5%)
The reason US is so worried is because we've bullied them, beaten them up so many times. And US is worried that Iran will attack back because of either the most recent events or for grudges from the myriad of events that have occurred in the past.
In reality, places like Pakistan, India, Israel and N.Korea have nuclear weapons already, and aren't allowed to do so under the NPT, but since they haven't signed the NPT they aren't obliged to follow the rules. But since 3/4 are American allies, they aren't under media scrutiny. N.Korea is, but that's also because of communism etc...
That's what I know on this matter.
What I'm thinking is that the US should consider how to cover their ass in Iraq, do you realize that certain high level officials had a plan to attack Iraq, then Syria, then a myriad of other countries in the middle east? Retired 4star general Wesley Clark recently told the world about this. Of course it makes US look bad so it wasn't mass mediacized.
But fortunately, US hasn't been able to because they screwed up in Iraq... they did try to enter a war into Syria a few years ago but that's another matter.
Basically, I think this is the start of the fall of the American Empire.
anyway, South Korea is going along with the US, so are all of the other US lackies.
Btw, Iran closed talks with IAEA, because they were referred to the UN security council for no good reason. If US hadn't interfered and put pressure on the IAEA to begin with, none of this would've happened. But of course, the cause of all problems, the US Military Industrial Complex lives off of wars. |
