Hi,
I am new to this forum and an Çѱ¹ ¾Æ±â (Korean Baby - i think). I thought up an interesting way to help learn Korean, especially if you are Christian.
If you click on this link http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=romans%208;&version=31;20;
It will open a parrellel english (NIV - New International Version aka modern english) and Korean Bible passage of Romans 8 side by side.
I think the advantage of this method is its a verse for verse comparison, so you have bite sized units of text to work on.
The only down side I can see to this method is the subject matter may be a little above everyday speech
I hope you find it helpful.

If you are saying learning words from hearing and comparing what you read in english it wouldn't work. becuase in korean it might say David king was. When in english it would say David was king and you would get incorrect translation in your undertsnding (if I stated that correct)... Also since the words would be re-arranged you would get the wrong ideas plus you might not know when an korean word ended and started. I hope I am understanding what you said. If I am then this should clarify it but If I am not... sry I guess

P.S. BTW welcome to the forums... |

In contrast, I think that it will be very helpful.
When you read the Korean bible and try to comprehend it's meaning, the English version would definately help.
I myself have a Korean/English Bible and I think it has done me good.

I guess if you're religious it'd be good ^^ I find that people have a hard time interpretting the meanings and messages in the Bible (hence all the different religions ie: Catholic - Prodestant - Anglecan.. it's all the same stuff just different ways of interpreting it) so it might be even harder having to do so in another language. But I see what you guys mean.. it could be helpful to some _________________ »ç¶ûÇØ ¿µ¿øÈ÷ |

| Hi I'm new to the forum, but this message caught my eye because I was a missionary in korea and had many opportunity to look at several korean bibles. The korean grammar is very difficult, and uses many old forms. If you want a good Korean to english translation, try to find a KJV in korean. The NIV is a little more simple than KJV, but is translated from the originals as well as from portruguese, so it is less accurate and not similar to english. Overall, I recommend KJV, even though it isn't as popular in korea. |

Just a few days ago, I found something way better.
http://www.holybible.or.kr/cgi/bibleftxt.php?VL=1&CN=1&VR=0&CV=99&FR=H
I found the Korean Bible accompanied by the audio, and the audio is not near as fast as Korean News programs or cartoons. This is definately worth listening to. |
