Hi, this is mithridates, a regular from Dave's ESL Cafe, a proud owner of a popular Cyworld page, and the administrator of my own board somewhat similar to this one (started it two days ago).
I live in the centre of Seoul near Seollung (선릉역), and the plan this year is to find a place big enough so that I can buy two cats. I used to live in Japan. I like space.
I think that just about covers it? |

I'm also getting the impression that the people here are a lot younger than the board I usually post on. The board I'm a regular on is composed mostly of English teachers in Korea, at least 22 and some up to 60. I would be 25.
What's with all the romanization here though? 한국어를 한글로 써야지~ |

Nice to meet you!
I am also 25, i use romanisation as my hangeul at present isnt good enough to enter a proper conversation, but i am steadily getting there.
I thionk the reason there is so much of it is that most of the people are quite new to learning, like my self.

26, living in Japan, thinking of making the jump over to Korea. Would be interested to hear your views on the differences between the 2 countries. Korea has a bit of a bad rep, I've read countless horror stories about working in Korea, is it really as bad as they say?!
And probably the most important question: How are the women? _________________ Itadakisourou shisounourou |

If you've had enough of Japan for the time being, I would say you should definately make the leap. If you don't know anybody in Korea, go to Busan. The weather is better and so are the people, plus you'll be a short ferry trip away from Japan. I live in Seoul because I need it for the time being, but I suspect that I'll move down south in a year or two.
The women? Um...wonderful would be the word, I suppose. Busan women are especially interesting. How's your Japanese? If it's good then Korean will be a snap. |

haha, I reckon. Busan people are nice, cute an decent. My boyfriend is a Busan guy, and I have some female friends from Busan as well, I like to be with them, we make lots of fun together.
Now i am in Australia, but plan to go to korea in 1 or 2 years time for good, and may live in busan for the rest of my life. |
