I think some moderators are using their privileges in a wrong way, and some of them are quite rude and impolite.
Recently a post of mine was deleted simply because somebody "thought" it was not useful enough. I haven't received any notification nor explanation about this.
I won't waste my time trying to help members knowing somebody will delete my contribution just because they are in a bad mood, and trying to fight with moderators that make their own rules and worst, apply them selectively.
That's why I'm leaving. I had good times here helping and being helped, but this is more than I can tolerate.

¿¡? This comes as quite a surprise. Maybe it wouldn't be good to repeat whatever post here for fear of having it deleted again, but I think you should PM another mod, or Jon, who has a back-up of the posts.
While I haven't deleted anything but blatant commercial spam, and nothing recently at that, it may be best not to jump to conclusions without first soliciting explanations from responsible parties. There may have been an honest slip-up somewhere!
Anyway, I'm no stranger to moderator abuse in other discussion boards, and I know how frustrating it can be in an otherwise respectable forum. I guess I can't blame you for not wanting to tolerate it. However, you're a respected member here, and it would be truly unfortunate to see you leave over what might be a trivial misunderstanding. _________________ Àλý¿¡¼ °¡Àå Áß¿äÇÑ °ÍÀº ÂѾƼ ¾ò¾îÁö´Â °ÍÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ÀúÀý·Î ¹ß°ßµÇ´Â °ÍÀÌ´Ù.

| Hi yeh I usually delete blatant spamming or advertising links, but will also sent a pm to the user warning them about their actions, I am not aware or deleting any of your posts, and wont delete unless its a blatant disregard of forums rules. |

Methinks this thread is suspicious: http://www.learn-korean.net/postt3020.html
Of course, I didn't delete anything, but it might seem I was brusque in clarifying the rules. After any subsequent posts were deleted, then it looks like I had the last word...potentially incriminating, but I wash my hands of it, and apologize if I sounded rude. I was just trying to say that we don't discourage relevant posts in Korean in the learning forum. _________________ Àλý¿¡¼ °¡Àå Áß¿äÇÑ °ÍÀº ÂѾƼ ¾ò¾îÁö´Â °ÍÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ÀúÀý·Î ¹ß°ßµÇ´Â °ÍÀÌ´Ù.

Nothing was deleted from that thread, at least not from my knowledge...
A warning was given in there to use Hangul in the appropriate forum, I don't see what the problem is
Maybe you misunderstood... |

I'm not sure what happened there. There's nothing wrong with reminding people of the hangeul forum. Rules are rules. I was just saying that it's okay to post anything as long as it's relevant to learning the language in the given thread. It seemed there was a discussion completely unrelated to anything. I could have been sure there was a post after that, and then if he comes back to see consecutive posts by us, it might look suspicious...Really, it makes no sense, and could well be a misunderstanding.
Anyway, as a general rule, I just don't delete what people post, even if it is off-topic. If I have to cut out spam or profanity, I'll still leave the posts there and just say why whatever was deleted. _________________ Àλý¿¡¼ °¡Àå Áß¿äÇÑ °ÍÀº ÂѾƼ ¾ò¾îÁö´Â °ÍÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ÀúÀý·Î ¹ß°ßµÇ´Â °ÍÀÌ´Ù.

Then that's totally strange. Even though I was out most of that day for Easter parties and exam cramming, I didn't see KkOmA either. If it's anything else, then it would be unfortunate indeed. _________________ Àλý¿¡¼ °¡Àå Áß¿äÇÑ °ÍÀº ÂѾƼ ¾ò¾îÁö´Â °ÍÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ÀúÀý·Î ¹ß°ßµÇ´Â °ÍÀÌ´Ù.

I didn't post for like 1 and half days, because I was away... |

Right, and it's not like he was going to name any names. Richardus probably suspected it was moderator abuse because of the warnings, but none of it seems to add up. _________________ Àλý¿¡¼ °¡Àå Áß¿äÇÑ °ÍÀº ÂѾƼ ¾ò¾îÁö´Â °ÍÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ÀúÀý·Î ¹ß°ßµÇ´Â °ÍÀÌ´Ù.
