I am looking for program to learn Korean, any suggestions? I've taken a few college classes, but I've not had much success. I really would like to learn conversational Korean.
Has anyone used the Pimsleur program?

I have not personally used the Pimsleur system because it seems that the language system is too gimmicky (I am pre-judging of course since I have not actually used the course yet):

If you try the Pimsleur system, I would definitely like a review.

If you just want to learn a few words or phrases, an over-simplified language system is the Dummies series; these books are great if you want to learn a few words and phrases. The words are learned phonetically in Romanized texts.

The language system that I use is the Living Language system because it is a complete system with no gimmicks. It teaches everything from the Hangul alphabet, numbers, verb usage, dictionary, etc.
It even comes with CDs that follow each section of the book and more importantly gives you proper pronunciation of all the words and conversations.

By the way, I do have and use some language - learning material, but they still include the Hangul alphabet, not Romanized texts.

I personally believe that the Romanized texts system is a gimmick that hinders one from successfully learning the Korean language. If one wants to fully comprehend the Korean language I believe that it is best to learn Hangul first.
