Minhwa(¹ÎÈ/ÚÅûþ) ?
Paintings that were drawn by normal people who didn't get professional drawing education during Joseon period. Those were shared among common people with a practical purpose, to decorate wall or folders / products. There were about 10 topics like flower-birds, sea animals, tigers, 10 long live animals, landscape, old-story telling, letterings and etc. Drawers are mostly unknown. Its characteristics are humors, free form and vivid colors.
Minhwa is evaluated very Korean and meaninful that shows common ppl's values.

As long as u use the black ink and brush, some ppl would say that.
Now it's one unified China but many of chinese past kingdoms' were not established by original chinese, Han ethnic.
Since oriental way of drawing was drawn in one dynasty that were located in current china's area, it was spread to many other countries nearby. And if it were settled and developed in their own style, that is their creation and one other flow. I think chinese will be able pick up if Minhwa were mixed with theirs.

Without having a knowledge of Western artists, by seeing drawings only you can't recognize if that is French, Spanish or British. But people don't say it's alike to Greek, Roman. Laughing
