I say Survival Korean by Stephen Revere. It focuses on foreign learners. Instead of teaching the rules first, it teaches you the language and then the rules as one Korean child would. He hears it first then studies the rules in school.
It also teaches the polite form which is the commonly used form in South Korea. Some books teach the formal form which is rarely used nowadays. This book also includes information about Korean culture so you wouldn't get that much culture shock. ^^
The author of this book is Stephen Revere who is also the host of Arirang's Let's Speak Korean. |
