Could we open a section where mostly Korean is used and encouraged? Sometimes I have questions about something that I would like to ask in Korean and have answered in Korean if possible. It makes it easier for me to understand nuances of the language and also provides practice.

I think it would also be helpful if we could have a place where we could post in Korean and not worry about inconveniencing members who would otherwise be overwhelmed with purely Korean posts.

So, is this not a possibility? In order to improve in Korean, you have to use it.. reading, listening, speaking, and WRITING.

A forum like this should have a place for people to express themselves in Korean without feeling obligated to use English.

Not going to happen?

Thanks for responding positively to my suggestion. I think such a forum is important .. but I don't mean in hangul only as if there were a penalty for using English there.. Shocked ^^ but just where everyone expects that mostly Korean will be used.

I have questions about Korean that I prefer not to ask in English because of the nuances of the language. Asking and receiving answers in Korean is sometimes more helpful. But I don't feel comfortable just using Korean on any of the rooms we have now because I know it can be overwhelming to people who are just learning hangul.

Of course, I can ask my questions in an all Korean forum.. to Koreans.. like in Daum or something.. and I do.. but there is a difference between asking a native speaker and asking someone who is learning the language the same as I am. We have shared experiences in aquiring the language that are unique to second language learners.

For everyone it can be a win win situation. I mean for example if you know how to ask how to say something in Korean why not ask it in Korean. And when you learn something, why not practice it here?

yes i agree but in my suggestion it should be a separate forum..for the sake of the beginners the are still trying to learn korean...so you should put like a KOREAN ONLY forum but its separate from the beginners..this is a nice suggestion..cool..but i dont know a lot in korean yet...cool.. this is a brilliant Idea
